As I tweeted out, a source confirms to me that Wisconsin coach Gary Andersen has withdrawn the wide receivers coaching position from Utah’s Aaron Roderick. Both sides determined due to family considerations it was best for Roderick to stay in Utah.
As for the BYU quarterback coaching position, my sources have not heard any new news relating to Roderick. I do know he attended a Utah staff meeting which tells me he’s most likely staying on Kyle Whittingham’s staff.
The rumors I keep hearing for the BYU position is former quarterback Max Hall. Curiously enough Hall recently opened up a Twitter account which included the tweet below from the BYU football season ending banquet. Not sure if that picture means anything but Dick Harmon of the Deseret News did confirm that Brandon Doman did not attend the banquet which further forwards the theory he will not be returning to the BYU staff.
BYU football banquet was tonight. Congrats to Riley and James on their senior year. Proud of both of them. twitter.com/mxrd15/status/…
