Utah Jazz great and NBA Hall of Famer Karl Malone wants to be the athletic director at his alma mater Louisiana Tech after the Bulldogs didn’t receive a bowl bid despite a 9-3 record. Some reports state that La Tech didn’t want to play instate rival Louisiana-Monroe in the Independence Bowl. However athletic director Bruce Van de Velde said he wanted to wait on the possibility of the Liberty or Heart of Dallas Bowl. However he said the Independence bowl wouldn’t wait and with Northern Illinois busting the BCS the other options didn’t pan out.
This led to Malone going on a twitter rant claiming he could do a better job as the AD. By the way is there any job Malone doesn’t want to do?
I am Bulldog to the core, I am heart broken and embarrassed that our university would do this to Tech Nation. To our football and staff this

is exactly what is wrong with our university. Now it’s time to get former athletes to run our program. I’m 6″9 and not hard to find.

Wouldn’t it be nice to hire a person doing it for university, and not somebody doing it for a bigger and better job in their mind?
