Pac-12 Power Poll Plus BYU Plus Utah State–Week 11

It’s the Week 11 edition of the Pac-12 Power Poll plus BYU plus Utah State. For those wondering why BYU and Utah State are in this poll, our radio show Gunther and Graham originates in Salt Lake City so we include the local teams to spice things up. The poll is compiled by the 1320 KFAN afternoon show team of Gunther and Graham featuring hosts Kyle Gunther and Kevin Graham as well as producers Will Smith and Ben Anderson. Send all complaints to the producers! In honor of UCLA’s blowout win over Arizona we honor them with their cheerleaders.

PAC-12 FOOTBALL POWER POLL PLUS BYU PLUS UTAH STATE:

1. OREGON (Last Week-1): 62 points and 730 yards at USC? This team is putting up video game numbers. I feel bad for what they are going to do against Cal.

2. UCLA (4): A lot of attention is put on the Bruins offense for putting up 66 points on Arizona but how about the defense holding the Wildcats high powered attack to just 10.

3. STANFORD (2): Kevin Hogan led the Cardinal over Colorado with his arm and feet. Much stiffer test Saturday versus Oregon State.

4. OREGON STATE (3): Despite a shaky start Cody Vaz took control of the starters job after leading the Beavers to a win over ASU.

5. USC (6): What was expected to be a National Championship contending team now is fighting to just win the Pac-12 South.

6. WASHINGTON (8): Huskies get the win at Cal and now return home versus Utah where they are 4-1.

7. ARIZONA STATE (7): Sun Devils reeling with three straight losses. Most likely four after they play at USC Saturday.

8. ARIZONA (5): After being embarrassed by UCLA the Wildcats can cure their ills against lowly Colorado.

9. UTAH STATE (9): Aggies continue to roll posting eight wins for the first time in 38 years.

10. UTAH (10): Utes roll for their second straight win. We’ll get a better handle if they have cured all their ills this Saturday when they play at Washington.

11. BYU (11): Cougars chance of moving up in this poll limited by the inferior competition they play the rest of the way.

12. CAL (12): Bears are going to miss a bowl game for the second time in three years.

13. COLORADO (13): It can’t get any lower as the Buffaloes suffer their first home shutout loss in 26 years versus Stanford.

14. WASHINGTON STATE (14): Looking more and more like Mike Leach’s team will go winless in the Pac-12 this season.

  • Pointing to Logic

you do realize that eventually as BYU continues to win and Utah continues to lose that you may have to move them up to gain any credibility at all. I seem to recall that BYU did beat Utah State and barely lost to Utah in Salt Lake. I don’t understand your logic with Utah higher with a 4-6 record. Teams that win should be rewarded, period!
