Another video has surfaced showing that the goofy Utah Ute suspender guy was actually pursuing BYU coach Bronco Mendnehall for a little while before he finally got his attention Saturday night. Of course once he accomplished his goal he still cowardly slinked away when Mendenhall stared him down. The whole thing remains ridiculous.
Meanwhile Utah athletic director Dr. Chris Hill told the Salt Lake Tribune that he would like to continue to allow fans to rush the field saying it’s “part of the college charm” but he would review crowd control policies. Hill did add he can’t control the fans “random acts of stupidity.” I agree with him but sometimes fans need the guidance. If the Pac-12 doesn’t go the way of the SEC and continues to allow fans to rush the field I’m thinking Dr. Hill should get together with whomever is leading the MUSS and try to come up with a plan to educate the fans on when to rush and not to rush. Rule No.1–don’t go out on the field when the game is still going on! Speaking of fan rules Pat Forde of Yahoo! Sports listed out a few rules based off the Utah-BYU fiasco.
