Sean O’Connell joins 1320 KFAN as a Sports Talk Host

1320 KFAN is proud to announce another major free agent signing—Sean O’Connell will be joining the team as a sports talk host. Better known as “OC” in the Utah sports world, O’Connell spent nearly two years on the old Zone as the co-host of the successful Hans and OC show in the morning. He is a Utah boy through and through, having grown up in Sandy. He played linebacker and fullback in college with stops at SUU, the University of Utah, and Weber State during his career. After finishing his playing days under Ron McBride at Weber State, OC began competing in MMA and now holds a 13-4 pro record to go along with his ranking as the top Light Heavyweight in Utah. Sean considers himself a true Renaissance man and is currently writing his second novel. He is also proud caretaker to Mr. President and Little Jerry Sloan, his legendary dogs.

O’Connell on joining the 1320 KFAN team:
“I am thrilled to be part of the team at 1320 KFAN. I am looking forward to once again providing Utah with an independent voice in sports radio and getting back to entertaining our listeners every day. Time to breathe a little life back into the scene!”

Program Director Kevin Graham on the signing:
“When we looked at assembling our team I realized we needed an enforcer to protect the rest of us. With Sean’s MMA background he was the perfect fit! On a serious note, Sean is the complete sports radio package—he can offer the players perspective but is relatable and very entertaining. Clearly he is a fan favorite judging by all the positive feedback we received. We’re very excited to have him be a part of the All New 1320 KFAN.

The time of the show and his co-host will be announced soon.
